Another very busy year in the state senate

Article posted on January 9, 2018

This morning was my 2017 Year End Report.  For those who don’t know about these reports, I do a recap of my activity and the costs of my office every year I’ve been in office.  The report is on my website, but for those who don’t want to read through the 11 pages, some items of interest include: my bill SB 690 is now Act 53 of 2017; the Twp. Supervisors Assn. gave me their highest award; I was named the Legislator of the Year by the PA Defense Institute; and I was given a Friends of PACIE award for my work on international education.  I attended 318 events in the district; 69 session days; 455 meetings in Harrisburg; 94 meetings held outside of the district but not in Harrisburg; sponsored 34 bills and 7 resolutions, with one bill I prime sponsored being signed into law; and co-sponsored 170.  I drove 32,051 miles on Senate business, and turned down $6,538 of in-district mileage reimbursement and $10,403 of per diems.  It was another very busy year in the state senate.
