In observance of Veterans Day

Article posted on November 9, 2017

I drove to Harrisburg late last night so that I could be at a Board of Education meeting at 8:30 this morning.  We had a relatively short meeting and I got a few things done at the Capitol before driving to Forbes Road School for a Veteran’s Day service that included the dedication of a Military Honor Role plaque donated by the Forbes Road Lion’s Club.  Former Commissioner Craig Cutshall was in charge of the service and it was well done.  I spoke with a Senator from the southeast yesterday who, after comparing our schedules for the week, couldn’t believe how many veterans events I had.  He attended a couple and had a couple to go.  I’ve been to 7 so far and will have 3 more in by Saturday.  It’s proof that our area remembers our vets and appreciates their service.  I would add that the Senate offices will be closed tomorrow in observance of Veterans Day.
