Hope to see you at one of the parades

With the office being closed today, I was able to run a few errands in between the commitments on my schedule, including getting an overdue haircut.  I had lunch today with an active duty Army officer who was in Altoona on business.  He was very knowledgeable about WWII and I learned a few things about what transpired in Europe during that period.  I left there for a Veterans Day service at Garvey Manor where I recognized all of their residents who are veterans.  The Blair County Honor Guard with Sgt. Bob Baranik playing Taps did a great job, as usual.  I finished the day in Carlisle at an Eagle Scout ceremony.  It was very well done and nice that they recognized the veterans in the audience.  Hope to see a lot of folks tomorrow at the parade and service in Altoona or the parade in Tyrone.
