What a show of support

This morning I attended the ribbon cutting for the new
renovations and operations plan for Royer Mansion, just outside of Williamsburg.  This property, operated by the Blair County Historical Society, will now be available for rent.  It would be ideal for weddings and other events that could use the beautiful grounds, as well as the historic home.  The volunteers on this project did transformational work and deserve a lot of credit.  Tonight, Charlotte and I attended the 16th Annual Tyrone-Snyder Public Library Concert.  This year they had Oscar Award-winner, Vanessa Campagna, and feature act, The Brooklyn Bridge.  They performed their big hit, Worst That Could Happen, other hits, and some “doo-wop.”  These concerts, organized by local supporter Chuck Bannas, have produced $330,000 of mortgage payments for the library leaving a balance, after tonight, of about $49,000.  What a show of support from this small community.
