A very difficult time defending himself against these charges

Article posted on March 21, 2017

Another long day with two committee meetings, session, caucus, office appointments, a dinner, and other commitments.  The big news everyone was talking about this afternoon wasn’t anything from inside the capitol, it was the indictment of Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams on extortion and bribery charges by federal officials.  He reportedly accepted about $100,000 in gifts, trips and cash in exchange for helping with legal charges for these contributors.  There were 23 indictments coming from this multi-year investigation.  As with other popular officials over the years like Kathleen Kane, he was once a rising star in the Democratic Party.  The initial reports look like he will have a very difficult time defending himself against these charges.
