HARRISBURG (12.29.2006) – State Senator-Elect John Eichelberger announced today the committees that he will be serving on in the 2007-2008 session. In addition to being appointed as the Vice Chairman of the Local Government committee, John is also expected to serve on the following committees: Aging and Youth, Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Communications and Technology, Finance, Game and Fisheries.
“I am very pleased with my assignments. Not only are these committees important to the constituents of the 30th District, but they are also committees that allow me to leverage my experience and abilities to provide the maximum benefit for the Commonwealth. As a former County Commissioner, my position as Vice Chairman of the Local Government committee is especially important because this platform will provide me the with an opportunity to address many of the “trickle-down” problems that are so prevalent in government such as unfunded mandates and property tax reform.”
