We’ll try to get to the bottom of this

I had a Town Hall Meeting tonight at the Breezewood Fire Hall. We had a fairly small group, but they were lively. Almost the entire conversation centered on Marcellus Shale drilling. Several people in attendance were from the southern end of Bedford County and were very concerned about their water supply as well as methane gas. As an elected official, I try to help constituents get answers to their questions. My staff and I have worked with many of the people in that area for many hours. The problem we often face with their questions is conflicting information. One person says that something isn’t safe, and another produces a report that says it’s okay. Since I’m not a chemist, a biologist or a hydrologist, it tough for me to figure things out. But, we’ll still try to get to the bottom of this important issue.
