It’s an impressive undertaking

I went to the Mount Union Fire Company’s gun raffle today. This has got to be the largest gun raffle in the state. I get to a number of them this time of year, all are nice events and worthy causes. This, relatively small fire company, sells close to 40,000 tickets for the raffle. About 5,000 people actually attend. When you think of all the money that changes hands, feeding 5,000 people, getting thousands of vehicles in and out of the old air strip outside of Mount Union, handling dozens of prizes and too many other details to mention, it’s a pretty impressive undertaking. I’m baching it tonight, Charlotte had to work. Looks like popcorn for supper.
