I always try to get at least 5 miles in on my birthday, sometimes 10, this morning I did 10, 2 of which were with Lillie, so I should get extra credit. I had a good day with many well wishes and an apple pie from staff for lunch, thanks again. I’m looking forward to a good meal at home tonight with Charlotte. This afternoon I attended an overview of the new federal health care law presented to a group of employers at J.C. Blair Hospital. I have been to presentations before, but to look at it from what employers are expected to do is almost unbelievable. If anyone thinks this law won’t hurt business, i.e. the economy, they haven’t looked at the law. This not only will cost more, but it takes away incentives for personal responsibility, just what we don’t need. This law needs repealed, today! Lastly, there was a mention today on Grassroots PA by Representative Darrel Metcalfe that he heard the Senate may come back into session after the election. That is not the case. Our leadership made it clear months ago that we wouldn’t be back and that position has not changed.
