I missed a run this afternoon that I always do because of a scheduling problem. But I needed the time in the office, since I couldn’t get any yesterday. We enjoyed the PRIDE telethon last night. We only raised $170 plus the $100 I threw in, which was disappointing. I am anxious to see how they did overall in this economy, I hope they did well. Today I attended a Welcome Home ceremony for the PA National Guard battalion at the Frankstown Armory. I found the ceremony very interesting. I never attended one like it before. There is always a General at these ceremonies and today, Brigadier General Beck was in attendance. He and I spoke to the troops that returned from three operations in the Middle East. It was a real honor to be there and participate. The officers and I thanked each soldier after they were recognized. It was a moving service. This evening we are watching the health care votes in Washington. I fear that the votes are in place. Votes for a socialist system of healthcare. One that we can never afford and one that will not work for many reasons. I hope that things go the other way.
