There is no reason for it to have happened

Happy Super Bowl Sunday everyone!  I worked most of the day and got a 5 miler in with the Tipton Run Club. I am looking forward to some good food and watching the game at home tonight. Last night I caught a story on the Turnpike fiasco from the storm.  It reported that the National Guard was called in to help and that some people were stranded for 12 hours.  I think that this situation warrants a hearing.  Maybe the Turnpike will have the political juice to kill any effort to look into their missteps.  They were quick to compliment themselves last Valentine’s Day when I-80 had cars backed up for 10 hours and they didn’t.  This apparently was a worse situation and I haven’t heard of any others like it on Penndot serviced highways.  Remember that we pay a premium to drive on the Turnpike and can expect much better service because of that.  I realize how fortunate I was to get out of the traffic jam, I can’t image being stuck there for 12 hours.  People die in situations like this.  There is no reason for it to have happened.
