It has been an unnecessarily long process thus far

Day 35 without a budget?  Well not a real budget that funds all agreed to budget lines for the year.  I explain because the House today passed Senate Bill 850 and sent it the Governor for his line item veto pen and signature.  This action will get state workers paid and I hope others like vendors and counties.  The Governor has said that he will line out all but about 75 lines of the 694 line budget.  I haven’t heard yet how long it will take the Governor to do this, it shouldn’t be long.  This is good news for those of us who do not want a tax increase.  It has been an unnecessarily long process thus far, but one that we are winning.
