I will stay focused

Day 38 without a real budget.  Not much on the budget
front today.  I talked to a number of people during
the day about the state of Pennsylvania's finances.
Outside of the people who are having money withheld from
them or want an increase in a specific funding line, most
people want us to hold firm and not increase taxes.
It is important to distinguish between people who want
the budget settled for their own personal reasons and
those that can view the situation objectively.  I understand
the unfair burden that has been placed on individuals,
local governments and social service agencies.  I also see
that there are some who are not concerned about the greater
good, just what benefits them.  It is critical to remember
the difference and stay focused on making a good policy
decision, I will.
