This is making a difference in this fiasco
July 22nd, 2009Day 22 without a budget. The polls are changing and the people of Pennsylvania are paying more attention to exactly who is to blame for the budget delay and the payless paydays for state employees, the Governor. He has got to be rethinking his strategy of throwing the state workers under the bus as this mess drags on. If he doesn’t have them as foot soldiers and the threats the administration put out about closing state parks and laying off state troopers aren’t working, he’s got nothing, zip, zilch. He doesn’t have the votes for a 16% tax increase and the people of Pennsylvania don’t want it. He has lost the PR war and he should have. He didn’t have the right answers for our Commonwealth. He had only his agenda of taxing and spending our way back to prosperity. The good citizens of the country have seen this agenda play out in Washington over the past 7 months and they don’t like it. They’re frightened over what the consequences will be and they don’t want to see our state go any further down that path. I love it when the people stand up and fight at Tea Parties, at demonstrations and through communicating directly with their public officials. This is making a difference in this fiasco and I would encourage everyone reading to ramp it up!
