Senator Eichelberger Welcomes Conference Participants

On Wednesday, August 5, 2009, Senator John H. Eichelberger, Jr. will welcome participants to the Water Quality Dinner, which kicks off the Cover Cropping of Farmland for Profit and Clean Water Conference the following day. The Water Quality Dinner will focus on the impact cover crops have on water quality.

The organizing of this conference is a joint effort by the Pennsylvania Agricultural Ombudsman Program, Penn State Cooperative Extension, United States Department of Agriculture – Natural Resource Conservation Service (USDA-NRCS, Blair County Conservation District, Southern Alleghenies Resource Conservation & Development (RC&D) Council, and the Pennsylvania No-Till Alliance.
