I won’t vote to do it

Article posted on July 3, 2009

I didn’t have anything scheduled in the district today since I first planned to be in Harrisburg so I got caught up with some odds and ends including a little paperwork. This morning I got the oil in the truck changed and the tires rotated. My truck has over 194,000 miles on it now and is still going strong. I get more emails and other communications during the budget process than at any other time of the year. A lot of people contact me if they are involved with an issue where they work or if it affects the finances of them or a family member. Others contact me just because they believe in something. Sometimes that something is a particular line item, but more often it is a broader concept like not raising taxes. Clearly, people in our area do not want their taxes raised. I hear you and don’t worry, I won’t vote to do it.
