Looks like it might be another late one

I got home late last night from a dinner in Hustontown, Fulton County and had to get going early this morning for my men’s fellowship group at 7:00. I was hoping for a nap this afternoon but that never seems to work out. Since the weather was nice, in between office work, I got my yard mowed for the first time this year. I’m sure that my neighbors are appreciative. Late in the afternoon, I took part in a flag retirement service at the Duncansville VFW. I have never been to a service like this before and found it very interesting. The Post, along with a local Boy Scout Troup, held the service and it was open to the public, which I understand is unusual. After a brief ceremony where a flag was raised and lowered, folded then unfolded then had the blue field cut from it, it was burned. There were some words spoken and I played “Taps” at one part of the service and “Call to Colors” as the flag was burned. After the public service, the Post retired about 500 other flags that had been turned in for this purpose. Charlotte and I are headed to a dinner tonight for New Day then a concert for the Tyrone Library. Looks like it might be another late one.
