It’s tought to trust people that switch allegiances

May 6th, 2009

We expected to see some amendments to the budget bill offered by Democrats today and we didn’t. I don’t know if that means that they won’t put up much of a fuss tomorrow when we vote on the bill or not. This is the talk of the town these days and we are getting lots of emails from every group that is affected. I have heard thank yous from business and conservative organizations, however. They seem to understand the long term problem of the pension contribution that we are faced with. Even with the cuts that are being made now, I still don’t know how we are going to get over the pension fund spike in two to three years. I was at the Pennsylvanians for Effective Government or PEG dinner tonight. The speaker was former Clinton advisor and Fox commentator Dick Morris. He gave an interesting talk, but didn’t tell me anything that I would bet my truck on. He now calls himself a conservative. It’s tough to trust people that switch allegiances…
