Huntingdon,, PA – Thursday, April 16, 2009, Senator John H. Eichelberger, Jr. (R-30) and Representative Mike Fleck (R-81) will co-sponsor the Huntingdon County Senior Expo 2009: Making Choices for a Healthier Future.

 

This free event for seniors will be held in cooperation with the Bedford, Fulton, and Huntingdon Area Agency on Aging, Westminster Woods, J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, and the Smithfield Volunteer Fire Company.

WHERE:   Smithfield Volunteer Fire Company, Huntingdon, PA

 

Senior Expo 2009 will have state and local organizations and businesses exhibits promoting available social services, financial and estate planning services, recreation and cultural services, home health and wellness services, and volunteer opportunities. Seniors will be able to have necessary screenings, obtain information, and win prizes.  The Bedford, Fulton, and Huntingdon Area Agency on Aging will provide a complimentary lunch to seniors who visit the exhibits this year.    

 

“I hope that area seniors take advantage of this opportunity to discover services and companies that meet their needs and the needs of their families.  Sometimes there is a sense of being overwhelmed, this is an expo that provides answers,” says John.

 

“Representatives from organizations on the federal, state and local levels will be available to answer questions and provide seniors with a wealth of information about services that are available to them,” said Rep. Mike Fleck (R-Huntingdon/Blair/Mifflin).  “I look forward to meeting with local residents at this event.”
