This was a first

The offices were closed for Martin Luther King Day so I tried to get caught up with some work, had an appointment at the Altoona Mirror, and ran some errands including a dentist appointment this morning and getting the oil changed in the truck this afternoon. I also got a little shopping done for some new overshoes, my old ones are starting to tear. I was at a store in Altoona this afternoon when a lady and a little girl, I guess her daughter, came out of a store just after I walked by. The girl must have been about 6 or 7 years old. I could hear her tell the lady as I walked by, “Oh my gosh, that’s Governor John Rendell”. She went on to mention that she learned about me in school. I have been called a lot of things, but this was a first.
