Senator Eichelberger Receives Award from National Federation of Independent Business
October 10th, 2008100% voting record on small business issues
Harrisburg, PA – Senator John H. Eichelberger, Jr. has received a 2007-08 ‘Guardian of Small Business’ award from the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) for his voting record on behalf of Pennsylvania’s small-business owners.
“Pennsylvania has a reputation of being a business ‘unfriendly’ state and reversing that reputation is going to take a lot of work and support from both sides of the aisle. The awards, presented to some Senators and Representatives by the NFIB, are a sign that there is hope, but we still have a long way to go,” John says. “The business owner members of the NFIB understand how important this fight is to the economy of this state.”
John earned a 100% voting record for supporting/opposing the following bills:
SUPPORT:
Senate Bill 752, for regulatory reform, establishing standards for the data used by state agencies when drafting new rules and regulations.
Senate Bill 986, requiring healthcare facilities to implement safety measures to reduce infections.
Senate Bill 1063, streamlining reporting of local wage taxes by reducing tax-collecting agencies from 560 to 69.

House Bill 296, raising the service charge on bad checks.
Senate Bill 1388, expanding the corporate net income tax rate’s sales factor calculation to 85 percent.
