I took Charlotte with me today to the Pennsylvania Family Institute’s luncheon in Chadds Ford. We had to leave early this morning for the nearly four hour trip. The speaker was former Arkansas Governor and candidate for President Mike Huckabee. Charlotte and I got to chat with him a little before the program and liked him very much. He was very personable and had a good sense of humor. His speech was inspiring and was well received. Senator Mike Brubaker was honored by PFI for his work on the Marriage Protection Amendment and for being a solid leader on the social issues important to PFI and all social conservatives. Congratulations Mike. I stayed in touch with the office by phone and Blackberry throughout the day. With the technology we all use and take for granted, you can work on many things from anywhere. You also are always in reach of staff at anytime, which can be both a good and bad thing.
