Hollidaysburg, PA – “I learned this afternoon of the tragic death of Senator Jim Rhoades following a car accident last evening. I was deeply saddened to hear that my friend and colleague had passed from this earth. Jim was a man who cared about his family and the people from his district. He argued tenaciously for the issues he cared about, especially education funding, coal production and the people who “will have a tough time making it”. Since I sat with Jim during Republican caucus meetings for the past two years, I talked with him daily when we were in session and learned a lot from this veteran legislator.
