I had a very interesting experience this afternoon. I was invited to attend a luncheon and Convocation ceremony at Mt. Aloysius College in Cresson, Cambria County. The honoree was a friend, Dr. Zane Gates who was granted an honorary Ph. D. The college had a robe and cap for me and seated me with the board of trustees on the platform. It turned out to be a nice honor for me as well. This evening I attended and spoke at a building dedication service for an old friend who died a couple of years ago, Frank Long. The building is located at the Sinking Valley Fair Grounds where Frank was on the Board for 30 years, 22 of those as Chairman. With everything that was said to the young audience this morning at the college and the family and fair goers tonight in Sinking Valley, you have to reflect on what you are doing with your life, how productive you are and if you are really making a positive difference in the world. Days like these are important.
