Why aren’t they done?

July 12th, 2008

It’s a hot one today, 90 degrees. I didn’t get to run early this morning because I went to my men’s fellowship group and got some office work done so I ran 5 miles in the heat and then mowed the yard. I got 50 miles in this week and still feel pretty good. I think that I will start to back down the mileage some next week. I played taps at a veterans’ service this afternoon and have a parade and dinner in Huntingdon County tonight. I am aware of a story in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette today about my news release yesterday asking where my bonus ban bill is. During this session, the Senate has passed eight “reform” bills, this one among them, that are still awaiting action in the House. I am convinced that the people of Pennsylvania expect the legislature to act on these issues and don’t want political excuses about why they weren’t done. This would make a great story for someone in the media.
