I’m home after one of the busiest three days in Harrisburg that I have had for a long time. I only got to two of my four scheduled breakfasts this morning, attended two committee meetings, showed some constituents through the capitol, met with lobbyists on different issues, went to session and got some emails and paperwork done. I was in Huntingdon County tonight for a LEAD (Local Economic Activity Discussion) meeting. We had a good group and talked about a lot of issues. The number one issue is still the cost and ramifications of the Chesapeake Bay initiative. There is now a bill in the legislature for the state to issue a one billion dollar bond and provide grants to municipal authorities for infrastructure improvements, including water and sewer projects. I haven’t heard it discussed in Harrisburg but the sewer authorities are asking about it, they are looking for help. I didn’t realize that my blog post from Monday evening was on Grassroots PA until late yesterday. You never know where these will turn up.
