I guess you think you can do anything

Hey, someone please call the Altoona Mirror and tell them that it is after 10:00 and I am still at the office working.  I have been working all day except when I went to church and I worked all day yesterday until 11:30 last night.  If you aren’t sure why I referenced this local paper, their editorial today said that the legislators are all on “vacation” until mid January and that “it must be nice”.  Speaking for myself, I am as busy in the district as I am when I am in Harrisburg.  I am still getting the Holldaysburg office into shape for the open house on Tuesday.  Exercises like this force you to go through papers that have been on the desk for a while.  I found some nice thank you notes, some official notices from the Senate pertaining to when I started and some things I had put aside to look into for possible legislation.  I am better organized now than I was on Friday but still need to get to a higher plain.  It was tough to stay organized without the ability to file papers at this office, my main district office.  We had no filing cabinets until 45 to 60 days ago so a “piling” system was developed.  By the way, there was an interesting article about the latest bonus ban information in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette today.  The trail of emails between House Democrat members and staff setting up the bonus payments to people who worked on campaigns seems pretty conclusive.  When you have been in Harrisburg long enough, I guess you think you can do anything.
