Very busy day

October 11th, 2007

I started early this morning with a breakfast meeting in Belleville, about an hour and 15 minutes away.  The meeting was held at a nursing home and focused on the problems facing nursing homes across the state.  I went from there to Evergreen Manor in Altoona, a low income housing project.  The social service program director who invited me reviewed her programs with me and showed me what an impact they were having on the residents there.  I met a man today from Mifflin County who has been on his precinct election board since 1945 and has not missed a vote for over 50 years.  Incredible.
