An interesting day for me

Article posted on October 16, 2007

Started the day with two breakfast meetings and saw some constituents including a dentist from Huntingdon and a bus load of senior citizens from Bedford.  An amendment to my bonus ban bill was passed unanimously.  After more discussion, this bill has been amended twice to clarify and strengthen it.  The bill itself is expected to run tomorrow.  I’ll report back on it then.  The first part of our session today was a ceremony for the unveiling of the portrait of the former Pro Tem of the Senate, Bob Jubelirer.  The former Pro Tems pictures hang in the first floor hallway.  He and his family were in for the event which included a luncheon prior to session.  I attended the lunch and, of course, was at session.  It was an interesting time for me personally and was of historical significance.
