I’m still on the floor of the Senate at 10:15 and will be here until 11:00, when we have to stop for the night based on our new rules. It has been mostly a day of waiting for things to get to the floor but we did have some progress. The House seems to be not able to get parts of the budget deal done and time is running out. They left early this evening and spent their time today fighting over provisions of the smoking ban. Obviously, the last projection for finishing the budget on Sunday was wrong. Now we’re shooting for tomorrow.
