State Senator John H. Eichelberger Jr. today introduced SB 975, a Constitutional Amendment that would require a two-thirds majority vote in both chambers of the General Assembly to pass a tax increase.
“Our state government has been taxing the people of Pennsylvania beyond their means.” said Eichelberger. “This measure would make it pretty tough to reach further into the pocket of the taxpayers.”
Co-sponsored by Senators Folmer, Regola and Pippy, this measure is a part of the Promise to Pennsylvania, the reform blue print Eichelberger co-authored.
